Our aim

Pathfinders is focused on adding value to the lives of young people aged 10-25 who have experience of being in care, whether they are currently in care or are care leavers.

What does Pathfinders do?

Built For Your Needs

Pathfinders offers practical and accessible resource that can...

Develop the social and cultural capital of care experienced young people by facilitating egagement with sporting and creative activities and resources.

Create pathways to leverage interests and passions into opportunities to learn, get qualifications, access training, experience and potentially employment in an area of real interest.

Leverage existing trusted relationships with young people not add more relationships into lives that already have too many.

Identify and manage a network of existing community  providers that offer relevant and suitable opportunities that meet the specific needs of individual young people.

Who do we work with?

Partners

We are looking to develop a broad network of community partners who offer sporting and creative opportunities for young people. It can be offering  opportunities for engagement and activity, mentoring, learning, training, qualifications, work experience or employment.

Clients

Our clients are organisations that already have an existing recognised relationship with a care experienced young person. This can include virtual schools, independent visitor teams, local authorities and residential care teams.

Our Phase 1 Pilot clients

We are delighted to have connected with three amazing clients to undertake the Phase 1 pilot in 2026. Each of these clients offers a different perspective on the relationship with care experienced young people and will provide us with a broad initial experience from which we can refine the Pathfinders model.
